Middle School Beginning Intermediate Spanish
In the middle school we use an individualized learning plan to accommodate, differentiate, and enrich the new Spanish student into a comfortable transition to the next level of study. We will be using different activities done during the school day as well as homework assignments to better enhance the learning of each unit. We will supplement the class with a software called TELL ME MORE which allows the teacher to closely monitor the students' progress. All the components of second language acquisition will be in place such as listening, speaking, pronunciation, phonemic awareness, reading, comprehension, writing, oral practice, and review.
Visit the homework page for updated assignments.
This program is designed to take up to 2 school years in order to transition from beginning intermediate up to middle school Spanish with Señora Schnecke. This may not be the case for students entering fifth grade.
Students are expected to get an 80% or above on chapter review at end of each unit in order to qualify to take the quiz or test that follows. If the minimum percentage is not achieved, the student will need to spend additional time on supplemental material before moving on the the next unit.
