Spanish, Grades PK-2

- Teaches Spanish to grades PK-2
- Teaches three days a week, sees each grade level PK-2 twice per
week
- Spanish assistant for middle school grades 5-8, providing
support to students with limited Spanish-language experience
- Born in Argentina, has taught Spanish in New York and
Illinois
- Earned a Bachelor's degree at State University of New York with
a major in Spanish Language and Literature.
- Currently working on a Master of Arts in Teaching at Concordia
University.

Specific course objectives are outlined below:
Pre-K
Greetings, numbers (0-15), commands, the calendar, colors,
shapes, the alphabet, winter vocabulary, cultural holiday
vocabulary, farm animals, the family, cultural celebrations.
Kindergarten
Review or introduction to greetings and farewells, colors,
numbers (0-20), calendar, commands, short phrases, class objects,
seasonal vocabulary, body parts, opposites, food, celebrations, and
responses.
First Grade
Review introductions, greetings, and farewells, commands,
common phrases, calendar, colors, shapes, classroom objects,
numbers (0-30), seasons, weather, cultural customs, cultural
celebrations, and holidays, plus vocabulary for enrichment.
Second Grade
Review introductions, greetings and farewells, commands,
common academic vocabulary, days of the week, more calendar
vocabulary, seasons, weather, conversations, phrases, classroom
objects, verbs, isolated item vocabulary, variations on
introductions, numbers (0-60), culture, and customs.
