Teaching Style
I strive for a style that is a combination of many things.  I try to provide a hands-on classroom for the students to work, play, and learn not only from me but also from each other, as well as providing unique and interesting learning opportunities.  I try to be a facilitator in providing these experiences, while allowing for a more student-centered approach to achieving our classroom goals.

Curriculum
The Pre-K class centers around a theme based, inter-disciplinary curriculum that covers all subject areas (language arts, math, science, etc.).  Key skills and concepts are emphasized in math and language arts, with the flexibility to challenge students appropriately.  Weekly class schedules for PK3 and PK4 include periods dedicated to core academic subjects, work on theme units, snack/free play, and specials (PE, Spanish, art, music, computer, library, and reading buddies).

Goals
We aim to provide meaningful, guided experiences that allow the children to grow and to learn at their own pace while building a foundation for social and academic success.  My favorite part of working with Da Vinci students is their enthusiasm for learning.
